Lessons from nature in Potowatomi State Forest:

Living on the (l)edge can pay off!p-4

The world seen from above seems so much more dramatic and beautiful. When you descend to “ground level” you begin to see the weeds. Does this mean we should: 1. Stay high? 2. Become high-minded 3. Avoid walking on water? 4. Enjoy the hills and valleys for what each brings?

A side conversation about the island pictured here went like this: “Is that a private island?” “Seems so. Awful lot of trouble to be alone.” “There are people all over these waters, fishing, water skiing, kayaking . . . .”

If bookselling gets too rough, try making your way on a limestone cliff sometime. What works is a good grip and tenacity.
